      About the Horses

We've been asked several times about the two horses that appeared in the protest album. Well here is a little background on them.

      Corey

Corey was foaled in 1991 and gathered from the Goldfield (NV) herd. Present location: Stagecoach, NV. His present owner is Willis Lamm. He's been to quite a few events supporting wild horses.

Willis and Corey in rural Nevada.
State Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus and Corey, Virginia City, NV.
(Dina Titus was subsequently elected to Congress by her southern Nevada constituents.)
      Spirit

Sprit was foaled in 1999 and gathered from Augusta Mountain (NV) herd. Present location: Stagecoach, NV. His present owner is Betty Retzer. Spirit is one of the regular "poster horses" to benefit wild horse issues.

      Practicing being lawn furniture.
Helping the junior volunteers with their riding skills.
Like many child stars, Spirit sometimes gets silly in front of the camera.
