AOWHA TRUTH RALLY, Carson City, NV, 2/20/10

The "horse flag" was once again flying in front of the Nevada State Legislature Building where around 150 wild horse advocates brought signs, waved flags and called for a truthful accounting of the Bureau of Land Management's Wild Horse and Burro Program.

The event was primarily organized by members of the Wild Horse Preservation League, Hidden Valley Wild Horse Protection Fund and Least Resistance Training Concepts, however the event's participants came from all over the West.

Carson City has a long history of peaceful and informative wild horse rallies and demonstrations. In spite of the present level of emotion over BLM's activities, this rally maintained the traditional decorum of friendliness and sharing of concerns and information.

Participants from a variety of groups along with "independent" advocates.
Participating groups and individuals provided displays and information tables with photographs and data for interested spectators and the media. Part of the plaza pavement was covered with hundreds of posters and pictures contributed by school children.
